Partial Solar Eclipse : 12th. August 2026

On 12th. August of this year ("The Glorious Twelfth"). We are set to experience a once in a lifetime chance to see probably the best solar eclipse in northern Scotland for the next 174 years !

About 90% of the sun will be obscured at the maximum eclipse at 19.02 in Portgordon.
The Sun will be quite low at this time at 14.5 deg. Let's hope we have clear skies for the event.
